The enchanting desert

There is a place on the equator, where the desert is white like snow, and its sands are soft like powder. It is littered with thousands of sweet water pools and lakes, created by the tropical rain season, making this the only desert in the world where the lack of water is not an issue - and also a desert with clouds. Like a chameleon, the chalky dunes mimic the changing colours of the day in myriad hues.
